York is easily reached by car from Philadelphia (about 90 miles west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and I-83), Baltimore (about 30 miles north on I-83), and Harrisburg (about 25 miles west). There is no commercial air service at York — the nearest airports are Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) and Harrisburg International (MDT).
Amtrak does not serve York directly. The nearest Amtrak station is at Lancaster, about 25 miles east, on the Keystone Service line between Philadelphia and Harrisburg. York Area Regional Transportation (rabbittransit) provides local bus service within the county.
