The band shell in Herrmann Park is a small civic landmark from the era when town parks were built for concerts, picnics, and summer gatherings. It is not a reason to drive to Belle Fourche by itself, but it adds a pleasant local stop near downtown.
Use the park as a break from the road. On a hot plains day, shade and grass can be as valuable as another formal attraction.
