Minnesela

Minnesela is the ghost-town predecessor to Belle Fourche, once an early settlement and county seat before the railroad and newer town shifted attention elsewhere. There is not a polished visitor experience, which is partly the point.

For travellers who like the half-visible history of the plains, Minnesela helps explain how quickly towns rose and faded in western South Dakota. Go for context, not for a long list of preserved buildings.
