Memphis Flea Market

The Mid-South's largest flea market, held the third weekend of each month at the fairgrounds

The Memphis Flea Market, held the third weekend of each month at the Mid-South Fairgrounds off Central Avenue, is one of the largest flea markets in the South. Several thousand vendors spread across indoor and outdoor space, selling antiques, vintage clothing and furniture, collectibles, tools, electronics, jewelry, and the usual mixture of new merchandise and salvaged goods that makes a large flea market worth an afternoon. It draws both dealers and casual shoppers from across the region.

The best browsing is in the outdoor sections, where dealers set up in rows of stalls across the fairgrounds. The indoor section concentrates the antique and vintage dealers; the quality is variable but the selection is broad. Saturday is larger and more crowded than Sunday. It is purely a weekend event — if your visit to Memphis doesn't coincide with the third weekend, there is no substitute. Admission is a few dollars; parking is available and cheap.
