Billy Bob's bills itself as the World's Largest Honky Tonk: a 100,000-square-foot live-music venue in a former cattle barn, with a 6,000-capacity main hall, 40 individual bar stations, an indoor bull-riding arena (real bulls, real riders, every Friday and Saturday), and an attached restaurant. Touring country acts play here three or four nights a week; the rest of the time it operates as a giant dance hall with two-step lessons in the early evening.
The cover charge is modest. The bull-riding is the unexpected highlight — sometimes more entertaining than the headline act.
