The Top o' Texas Rodeo is Pampa at its most animated, with bronc riding, roping, barrel racing, and the familiar small-city mix of fairground food, local families, and traveling competitors. It usually runs in summer, so check the current dates before planning around it.
Outside rodeo week there is not much to see here. During the event, though, it gives a visitor a much better feel for the Panhandle than another hour on the highway.
