Bull Valley Gorge is a narrow slot canyon in the Grand Staircase-Escalante backcountry north of Cannonville. It is more demanding than the easiest canyon walks in the area, but fit hikers get a memorable route through sculpted stone and tight passages.
Cold water can collect in the canyon, especially outside summer, and a rope is useful for awkward sections. Experienced hikers sometimes link it with Willis Creek and Sheep Creek for a longer day or overnight route.
