Green River State Park

A strip of cottonwood-shaded grass on the west bank of the river, with a campground, a boat ramp, and a nine-hole golf course that is improbably green against the surrounding desert. This is where most Labyrinth Canyon rafting trips put in.

The park is unfussy and cheap, a good place to camp the night before a launch or to swim off the boat ramp on a hot afternoon. The cottonwoods bring shade that is hard to find elsewhere in town.
