Things to Do

Killington is defined by its mountain. In winter, the ski area dominates everything — the access road, the bars, the restaurants, the conversation. In summer and autumn, the mountain becomes a different place: hiking, mountain biking, and the extraordinary fall foliage draw a second wave of visitors who often find the resort more relaxed than the ski crowd.

The Long Trail and Appalachian Trail — which run together through this section of Vermont — pass within walking distance of the resort, giving hikers access to serious backcountry terrain without a long drive to the trailhead.
