Tiger Mountain State Forest

Tiger Mountain rises directly behind Issaquah and offers some of the most-walked trails in the Seattle area. Poo Poo Point, on the western flank, is the standout — a steep three-mile climb to a paragliding launch with a wide view back across Issaquah, Lake Sammamish, and the Olympic Mountains on a clear day.

The easier Tradition Lake Loop is good for a flat hour through old-growth-feeling forest. Avoid weekends if you can; the lower trails get busy. Park at the High Point trailhead off Exit 20 of I-90.
