Cape Disappointment State Park covers the dramatic headland at the mouth of the Columbia River, with ocean beaches, forest trails, two lighthouses, and views over one of the Pacific coast's most powerful river mouths. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is within the park, but the headland and lighthouse walks are worth time on their own.
