Shi Shi Beach is one of the great wild beaches of the Olympic coast, reached by trail and backed by forest rather than development. Sea stacks and tide pools give it the classic outer-coast drama.
It takes more effort than the roadside beaches, and that is the point. Check tide tables, bring proper footwear, and arrange any required permits before setting out.
