The Columbia Gorge Museum is Stevenson's main indoor anchor, covering the gorge's natural history, Native cultures, river traffic, logging, and settlement. It is especially useful before driving the Washington bank, because it explains what you are looking at instead of reducing the Gorge to scenery.
