Mission Ridge Ski Resort sits in the mountains south of Wenatchee. It has six lifts, a large spread of terrain, and a reputation for sunny days and dry snow compared with the wetter west side of the Cascades.
In winter it is the strongest reason to base yourself in Wenatchee for more than one day. Outside ski season, the road into the hills still makes the city's mountain setting clear.
