Ohme Gardens

Stone paths, ponds, and shaded overlooks on a bluff above Wenatchee and the Columbia.

Ohme Gardens is a steep, rocky bluff north of town that Herman and Ruth Ohme began turning into a garden in 1929. Stone paths, ponds, waterfalls, and evergreen shade make it feel cooler and older than the dry hills around it.

The garden is compact but carefully built, with viewpoints over Wenatchee and the Columbia River. It is seasonal, usually open from spring into mid-October.
