Long Lake is the largest of the kettle lakes inside the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest, and the recreation area on its east shore is the main summer destination from Kewaskum. A sandy swimming beach, a boat launch, and a picnic area sit on the water; the campground is one of the more popular in the state forest.
The lake is good for canoeing and small-boat fishing (largemouth bass, panfish, northern pike). Surrounding trails connect to the wider state forest network. A state park sticker (or daily pass) is required.
