The EAA Aviation Museum is the year-round version of Oshkosh's aviation identity. Its collection covers the aircraft people built, restored, raced, flew in war, or simply dreamed into being, with more than 200 aircraft and a strong focus on experimental and homebuilt flying.
It is not only for specialists. The museum is good at showing the human side of aviation: why people build their own planes, how designs changed, and why Oshkosh became a gathering place for aviation culture rather than just another airport town.
