Cave Point County Park

Lake Michigan park where waves have carved small caves into the limestone shore.

Cave Point County Park is one of the lower Door Peninsula's best shoreline stops. Waves from Lake Michigan hit the limestone edge here, cutting small caves, ledges, and blowholes into the rock.

It is a short visit, but a memorable one, especially when the lake is active. Stay back from wet rock and winter ice; the same waves that make the place dramatic also make it slippery and unforgiving.
