Whitefish Dunes State Park

Lake Michigan state park protecting dunes, forest trails, and archaeological sites.

Whitefish Dunes State Park protects a long stretch of Lake Michigan beach and the dunes behind it. It is quieter and more natural than many Door County shore stops, with forest trails, sand, and signs explaining the area's long Native American occupation.

The park pairs naturally with Cave Point next door. Use Whitefish Dunes for a longer walk and Cave Point for the dramatic rock-and-wave views.
