Duck tours have been part of Wisconsin Dells since 1946, when surplus amphibious vehicles found a second life carrying visitors through sand trails, woods, Lake Delton, and the Wisconsin River.
The ride is broad family fun rather than deep nature interpretation, but it is one of the old Dells rituals and gives a quick taste of both land and water.
