Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD) is three miles east of town and has daily flights from Denver and Salt Lake City on United and Delta. In summer the schedule expands with additional services. The airport is small, baggage claim is quick, and rental cars are available on-site.
By car, Cody is 52 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone on US-14/16/20 through the Wapiti Valley — the most scenic approach to the park. From Billings, Montana: 2.5 hours southwest on US-14. From Jackson Hole: 3.5 hours via Togwotee Pass (US-26/287), with Yellowstone in between. There is no passenger rail service to Cody. Driving is the practical way to arrive and the right way to see the region.
