Quintin Blair House

The Quintin Blair House is a private residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1952–53, one of his Usonian houses — Wright's concept for affordable, organically designed homes for middle-class American families. The low horizontal profile, the integration with the landscape, and the use of natural materials are all characteristic of the Usonian programme. It is one of only a handful of Wright buildings in Wyoming.

The house is not open to the public and is actively occupied, so visits mean viewing from the road. The exterior is visible without trespassing, and given the flat, open terrain of the area, the silhouette against the landscape communicates the design principles reasonably well even from a distance. For architecture enthusiasts tracking Wright's buildings, it is a genuine Usonian in an unexpected location. For others, it is a short detour with limited payoff.
