Evanston is on Interstate 80, right at the Wyoming-Utah state line. Salt Lake City is 110 km to the southwest — about 80 minutes by car — making it the most practical airport for a visit. Direct flights connect Salt Lake City to most major US cities.
There is no passenger rail service to Evanston, though the Union Pacific freight line still runs through town. Greyhound and other long-distance bus services connect Evanston to Salt Lake City and Rock Springs.
