Eating Out

Jackson has by far the best restaurant scene in Wyoming — a resort town with a wealthy clientele demands good food, and the town delivers. The range runs from truck-stop bison burgers to sophisticated Rocky Mountain cuisine, with several restaurants genuinely worth seeking out.

The Handle Bar at the Four Seasons in Teton Village serves bison short ribs and elk tenderloin in a rustic-luxe ski lodge setting — expensive but the quality is consistent. Local Restaurant & Bar on North Cache is a reliable mid-range option with a strong focus on locally sourced beef, game, and trout. For a classic Wyoming experience, the Cadillac Grille on the town square has been a local institution for decades with an eclectic menu and an unmissable neon sign. Breakfast in Jackson is taken seriously — the Jedediah's House of Sourdough has been serving enormous sourdough pancakes since 1967.

Note that most restaurants are closed or reduced-hours in the shoulder seasons (May and November). Reservations are essential in summer and ski season.
