Trunk Bay

The island's most famous beach and one of the most photographed in the Caribbean, Trunk Bay is known for its 225-metre underwater snorkel trail marked with plaques identifying coral and fish species. The water is clear, the beach wide and white, and the setting reliably beautiful. It gets busy by mid-morning; arriving early is worth it both for the calm and to beat the cruise ship day-trippers. A national park entry fee applies.
