Talampaya National Park

UNESCO-listed red-rock canyon park with Triassic geology, high walls, and guided desert circuits.

Talampaya is the reason many travellers come to Villa Unión. The park protects a dry red canyon system where sheer walls, sculpted pillars, and Triassic fossils make the landscape feel older than almost anywhere else on the trip.

Most visits use the official vehicle circuits from the park entrance. It is exposed desert country, so bring water, sun protection, and patience if weather closes the canyons after rain.
