The municipal history museum is a modest single-storey building south of the centre, with collections covering the founding of Reconquista in 1872, the displacement of the Mocoví indigenous people, and the arrival of Italian and Eastern European settlers who shaped the modern town. Old photographs, documents, agricultural tools, and a handful of period rooms make up the bulk of the display.
It is the kind of small-town museum you visit not because it is famous but because it explains why the place looks the way it does. Allow an hour. Free admission; opening hours are unreliable, so call ahead if you have crossed town for it.
