This compact archaeology museum faces Tilcara's main square and works well before or after the Pucara. Its collections focus on the cultures of the Quebrada de Humahuaca: ceramics, burial objects, ritual pieces, and everyday material from communities that lived along the valley for centuries. It is not slick, but it gives the fortress and the surrounding villages a needed human scale.
