RunaTour are based in Tilcara itself rather than in Jujuy or Salta, which is the practical difference: their trips start where you are sleeping instead of three hours down the valley. They run group excursions to the Salinas Grandes with Purmamarca, to the Hornocal with Humahuaca, and out to Iruya — the last of these a long day on a spectacular dirt road that is much better done with someone who drives it every week.
