The heart of Coroico is a small leafy plaza with palm trees, a fountain, benches, and the cathedral of San Pedro y San Pablo on its north side. Everything in town happens within a block or two of here — the restaurants, the buses, the small market, the church bells in the morning.
A good place to slow down. Sit on a bench, drink a fresh juice from a stall, watch the slow rhythm of a small Andean town. Cars are largely absent in the centre, and the soundtrack is birdsong, children, and the very occasional motorbike.
