A Sagárnaga agency named for the mountain that stands over La Paz. The climbing list is short and the right shape — Illimani at 6,492 m, Huayna Potosí at 6,088 m in two or three days, Pequeño Alpamayo, Illampu, Sajama, and Pirámide Blanca for acclimatisation — and they sell Coroico, Oruro and Potosí as well.
Their two-day Huayna Potosí is the standard version: leave the office at nine, two hours to the base-camp refuge at 4,700 m, three hours up to high camp at 5,200 m, and a one in the morning start for five or six hours of climbing. Private transport, high-mountain guide, equipment, the refuge and five meals are in; sleeping bag, headtorch, sunglasses and a 50-litre pack are not.
They print two mobiles and advertise both as WhatsApp, and they say they answer round the clock. They also print two different street numbers on Sagárnaga; 384 is the one that finds them.
