The Cristo Redentor viewpoint is the city's postcard stop: a smaller Christ statue on the Serra Azul hillside, with Barra do Garças, Aragarças, and the river plain below.
It is not Rio, and that is part of the charm. The view gives you the geography of the place in a few minutes: rivers, flat urban grid, and cerrado slopes pressing close behind.
