The natural pools are Porto de Galinhas' signature sight. At low tide, gaps in the reef trap clear seawater and small fish, and local jangada rafts run short trips from the beach. It is simple rather than wild snorkelling, but the setting is lovely and the timing gives the outing a small sense of occasion.
Go only around low tide. Outside that narrow window the reefs disappear under the water and the trip loses most of its point.
