The cheapest way to get to PdF is on the bus, specifically the Expresso Linha Verde to Porto Sauipe, which leaves from the Calçada station every hour from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. The fare is R7.80 and the trip will take you about one and a half hours from Salvador.
