The oldest restaurant in Brazil still serving — opened in 1882 in a stately townhouse opposite the Capela Dourada — and a Recife institution for traditional Portuguese and Brazilian cooking. Bacalhau, suckling pig, and northeast Brazilian staples like carne de sol dominate the menu.
