Praia da Caveira is one of Ilhabela's wilder beaches, set away from the easier west-coast circuit and reached by boat or a demanding route through the island's protected landscape. The reward is not infrastructure but the feeling of being on the rougher, less domesticated side of the island.
Conditions matter here. Check sea state, access, and local advice before setting out, and do not treat it like a casual town beach. Its appeal is precisely that it asks for a bit more effort.
