A long-running seafood restaurant on the beachfront in Gonzaga, Peixaria da Praia does the classic local dishes — moqueca, grilled robalo, fried squid — at fair prices for the location. The dining room is unfussy, and the terrace looking out over the beach fills up early on weekends.
Portions are designed for two; the moqueca for two with white rice, farofa, and pirão is enough to feed three. The caipirinhas are good. Service is friendly but can slow down on a busy summer night.
