Antonina's main church anchors the old centre above the bay. The building is plain by Brazilian colonial standards, but it gives the town its historic focus and is the right place to start a walk through the surrounding streets and waterfront.
Come in the late afternoon if you can, when the light softens on the facades and the bay begins to show through the gaps between buildings.
