Parque das Aves

A respected bird park beside Iguaçu National Park, with walk-through aviaries and a strong focus on Atlantic Forest species.

Parque das Aves is the easiest wildlife add-on to the Brazilian side of Iguaçu Falls, and it is more than a simple bird collection. Large walk-through aviaries bring you close to toucans, macaws, parrots, flamingos, and other species, with a particular emphasis on the Atlantic Forest.

Its location near the national park entrance makes it simple to combine with the falls, but do not treat it as filler. The best parts are immersive and colourful, and the conservation angle gives the visit more weight than a quick photo stop with tropical birds.
