The Serra Verde Express is the classic way into Morretes. The train drops from Curitiba through the Serra do Mar, crossing high bridges and forested ravines on one of Brazil's rare scenic passenger railways.
It is slow, touristy, and still worth doing. Sit on the left side leaving Curitiba for many of the better mountain views, then use Morretes as the relaxed finish rather than rushing straight back.
