Laguna Cejar is famous for water so salty that you float without effort. The colours are startling: pale salt, dark desert earth, emerald water, and the Licancabur volcano on the horizon when the sky is clear.
Swimming access can change, and showers or facilities may be limited, so check current rules in San Pedro before you go. Rinse well afterward if you can; the salt is no joke.
