Tres Marias

The Tres Marias are three eroded rock-and-salt formations near the entrance circuit of Valle de la Luna. They are modest in scale compared with the wider valley, but they make a useful introduction to how strangely the Cordillera de la Sal weathers.

The stop is short and often crowded. Stay behind the barriers, take the photograph, then move on to the bigger views.
