The Church of Nercón sits just south of Castro and is another of the UNESCO-listed Chilote churches. It is quieter than San Francisco, with a more rural setting and a handsome timber interior.
Visit it as part of a short church circuit around Castro. The appeal is not grandeur but craft: wood, proportion, and the sense of a local tradition refined over generations.
