Barrio Inglés is the old English Quarter near the port, a reminder of Coquimbo's 19th-century mining, shipping, and foreign-trade boom. Restored facades, bars, and cultural spaces sit among streets that still feel more port-town than polished attraction.
It is best in the evening when restaurants and bars are open, but wander with normal city awareness. The neighbourhood has character, not a theme-park finish.
