The cathedral of Iquique is a 20th-century neogothic building close to Plaza Prat, the seat of the Diocese of Iquique since 1996. Its twin spires and rose window are visible from across the centre. The interior is plain by Latin American standards, but the high vaulted ceiling and stained glass are worth a brief stop if you are walking through the centre.
