Iquique's sights split between the handsome 19th-century centre and the natural drama just outside it. The pedestrianised Calle Baquedano with its wooden Georgian-style facades is the historic heart, while paragliders launch from the cliff above town and the Humberstone nitrate ghost town sits 45 kilometres inland.
