Rincón is a beach town, and the main activities are exactly what you would expect: swim, sunbathe, eat fish, take a boat out. The wider attractions are the islands of the San Bernardo archipelago, including Isla Múcura and Isla Tintipán, where the bioluminescent plankton can be seen at night. Mud volcanoes in the surrounding hinterland are another reason people detour off the coast.
