The El Indio Guaranga monument sits above town and gives one of the clearest first views of Guaranda's setting. The statue itself is direct and monumental, but the real point is the panorama: tiled roofs, green hills, and the possibility of snow on Chimborazo beyond.
You can taxi up or make it a short hike if the weather is kind. Go in the morning for the best chance of clear mountain views.
