At La Punta, the headland at the north end of Montañita where the point break is and the all-night reggaeton is not. That distinction is the whole reason to stay up here rather than in the village.
They teach beginners and they board people who already surf, and their own directions page is unusually honest about the journey: bus from Guayaquil terminal, $3.50 taxi from the airport, and look for the bamboo door with the logo.
