Queenstown

Mixed residential ward east of central Georgetown

Queenstown lies east of the central wards, bounded by Camp Street and Vlissengen Road. It is a mixed residential and commercial area with some of the city's most striking surviving colonial wooden houses, the Queenstown Jama Masjid, several embassies, and a number of guesthouses popular with travellers.

The neighbourhood is well placed for walking to the Botanic Gardens, the National Museum, and the central sights, and is quieter than Stabroek. Many of the better small hotels and guesthouses cluster here.
